Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT

All stress affects our energetic system. Emotion is energy in motion. When we hold back and suppress painful emotion, the stuck energy can affect the physical body. EFT, also known as Emotional Freedom Technique or tapping, is a healing tool used to clear emotional conflicts in the mind and body by addressing the underlying energetic cause of the problem.  EFT works to shift the mind and the nervous system by changing how we react to stressful situations.


Similar to acupuncture, this technique utilizes meridian points to activate psychological changes in the body. EFT can make it easier to deal with the overwhelm of certain situations, silence the critical voice inside, get past events or circumstances that cause great pain, and shift negative thought and belief patterns like procrastination, self-sabotage or fear. When we are honest and clear in acknowledging our feelings about what is stressing us, we are better able to address our fears and limiting beliefs that we have chosen to deny, rationalize, dismiss or ignore. The thinking that created the problem cannot solve it! You must concentrate on the feelings which opens up energy channels allowing energy to flow freely, giving the body the best chance to heal. 

Pain is our body's way of telling us something in wrong. It demands we do something. It gets our attention. Pain tells us our body is in trouble. Tapping helps to connect to our body and changes the perceived intensity of the stressor. Tapping collar bone points will help with pain. Tapping can help activate the body's self healing mechanism. Emotions have a huge impact on pain. Beliefs impact pain. How your brain interprets pain is a key component. Tapping allows emotions to pass through our body and reprogram how our brain and body reacts to stress. Tapping on negative emotions is key because they cannot be denied. What we resist, persists. Working through the feelings and fears gives access to true inner wisdom and guidance. 


EFT can help you feel safe in your body and in your life and can help you to make the changes internally necessary to achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. EFT can also be used to gain access to wisdom and insight. It can help you process old pain and thought and belief patterns you learned as a child that no longer serve you.
